- Click on the "Insert" tab
- In the "Header & Footer" group, click on the "Page Number" button
- Choose the placement of the page number, such as centered at the bottom of the page
- Set Page Number Starting Point:
- Double-click on the footer of the main text to enter footer editing mode
- In the "Header & Footer" group on the Insert tab, uncheck "Link to Previous" and "Different First Page"
- Set Starting Page for Page Numbers:
- In the "Header & Footer" group, select "Page Number Format"
- Choose "Start at" and enter "1"
- Delete the Page Number on the Cover Page:
- Manually delete the page number on the cover page
